Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, is trying to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. Aside from a bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” In this short film, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman? According to series creator Lauren LeFranc, Batman does not appear in the series. “I understand why people would want Batman or think that if Batman is not in a series or a movie, he won’t have the same impact. In my opinion, he has a different impact. Matt’s films are shown through the lens of Batman, so when you’re up high looking out over the city. It’s a different perspective. With Oz, you’re on the streets of the city, you’re in the gravel, mud, and grime. He’s looking up, wanting to climb to the top. The DC Studios logo is in a rainy Gotham alley. The umbrella falls and the logo becomes the Warner Bros. logo. Starring: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024) in The Graham Norton Show. Colin Farrell did for Penguin what Heath Ledger did for Joker……… GAME CHANGER! MASTERFUL! ICONIC!! I would have never guessed in this role, but Colin Farrell just gave the best performance of his career, an incredible interpretation of the Penguin. This will go down in history the same way Heath Ledger’s Joker transformed the character. If he doesn’t get Best Actor recognition at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards and everywhere else, he won’t appreciate how the producers, writers and incredible team of makeup artists helped Colin Turin deliver an incredible performance that would become a hallmark of his career and a benchmark for the Penguin for the next 3 generations.
